Is QR Boost really free?
Yes. Creating QR codes, changing their destination, smart destinations, stats and PNG, SVG or PDF downloads are free. Your QR codes never expire and have no scan limits.
Why do I need an account?
Because your QR code points to an editable QR Boost link: the account is how we know that QR code is yours and let you change it. We only ask for your email and name, no passwords.
What happens if I change the destination of a QR code I've already printed?
The printed QR code leads to your QR Boost link, so the change applies instantly to every printed copy. You don't need to download or print anything again.
And if I change the design?
Then the QR pattern changes and we generate new files that you need to download again. QR codes you've already printed with the old design keep working just the same.
How do I make a QR code go to the App Store or Google Play depending on the phone?
In “Smart destinations”, add an iPhone rule with your App Store link and an Android rule with your Google Play link. Every other device goes to your main destination.
How do you know which country a scan comes from?
From the scanner's connection, at the moment of scanning. We don't store their IP or anything that identifies them; we just add one scan to that country.
Which error correction level should I choose?
M (15%) works for almost everything and is our default. If you add a logo, we switch to H (30%) automatically so the code still scans.
What happens to my QR codes if I close my account?
They keep working and sending people to their last destination, so nothing already printed breaks, but you lose control of them forever: we delete your data and can no longer tell which ones were yours. If you want them to stop working, delete them before closing your account.
Which format should I download for printing?
For print, SVG or PDF: they're vector files and look perfect at any size. For the web or documents, PNG.
